Happy birthday to me, two days late though since I meant to post this on Tuesday but it got too late. The weekly blog posting definitely did not work which I knew would happen, but I'm fine just posting these whenever I feel like it instead.

Album : Tragic Kingdom by No Doubt | link

I don't know how I've never heard of this band before! I've heard of Gwen Stefani but didn't really know anything about her, but I've definitely heard some of their songs. I've been playing Don't Speak, Just a Girl, and It's My Life on repeat all week!

Other recent albums, the new Oh yeah? by Steve Lacy was really good, haven't really listened to him before.

I'm also listening to Hello by Poe as I'm writing this because for some reason I've listened to Haunted a ton but never listened to this one.

Movie : Project Hail Mary | link

I've been watching so many movies lately, which has been SO fun. Made my siblings watch Scream with me for my birthday, also watching The Fifth Element and was like how have I not heard of this, this is totally a movie my dad would watch, and I asked him and he was like 'yeah thats a good movie'.

Watched Project Hail Mary for movie night in the Mellowpunk discord, and I really wish I had seen this movie in theaters, I just waited too long and then it was gone. Also that yellow rain jacket that Grace has is the exact jacket I've been looking for, I'm still gonna get it eventually tho, it really just confirmed that I need to get it.

Food : Homemade pasta sauce | link

A very simple sauce my dad would make for us. I still don't have my recipe page up but here it is:

2 lbs ground beef (this time I used ground turkey instead), 1 16oz can each of tomato sauce and curshed tomatoes, a spoon or two of minced garlic, Italian spices, and Oregano. Brown ground beef and then add minced garlic and let it cook a bit before adding everything else. I just throw in spices and taste it a few times until it tastes good. Let it simmer for a bit and then add to pasta.

Not my most specific recipe, but it's simple enough to just feel it out.

Extras :

A very interesting read. It's so incredible to see what people were capable of throughout history.

I just got Sultan's Game and I'm OBSESSED. Been thinking about it at work the past couple days just waiting to go home and play a little bit more.
